Buffalo Chicken Pizza Dip Sandwich

What do you do when you have Buffalo Chicken Dip and two pieces of leftover Buffalo Chicken Pizza? Five words: Buffalo Chicken Pizza Dip Sandwich!

Surprisingly, I had leftover pizza from a recent Pizza Milano order. And even more surprising was the leftover Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip. You know you’re fat when you make Buffalo Chicken Dip as a meal. Most people take it to a party. I’m so lonely.

But I digest; back to the story.

Pizza Milano, or Mineo’s depending on where you live in Pittsburgh, makes their Buffalo Chicken Pizza with quality breaded chicken, buffalo chips (round, flat French fries), mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, ranch and a buffalo sauce that I can’t seem to replicate. It’s hot but flavorful, with hot pepper seeds and a deep red color.

I ordered the pizza with extra cheese and extra hot sauce, which makes the buffalo chicken pizza dip sandwich even better!

Reheat your pizza in the oven or toaster oven so the crust is crispy, not soft. I’m not ashamed to admit I have a well-seasoned Pampered Chef pizza stone. Or maybe it’s just dirty. I wish you could put them in the dishwasher.

While the pizza is baking, prepare a healthy portion of buffalo chicken dip. It was in the refrigerator, so I microwaved it to soften it enough to spread. Don’t nuke it so much that it’s bubbling – it won’t hold the “bread” together.

I added some extra Frank’s RedHot and a dollop of Dave’s Insanity Sauce for good measure.

Once the pizza is done, create your sandwich with plenty of chicken dip. Before I put the top on, I added some habanero cheese cut into sticks to help keep the sandwich from sliding around.

Flip the second piece of pizza over and place it on top with a gentle smooshing motion.

A co-worker said it looked like an Imperial star destroyer from Star Wars. There was enough hot sauce to call it a different kind of “star” destroyer, but since I can’t show a video of that, please enjoy your buffalo chicken pizza dip sandwich with the opening scene of Star Wars instead.
